Coeymans Hollow Volunteer Fire Company
Sano-Rubin was the Construction Manager as Adviser for the new $3.2 million, 16,340 sf state-of-the-art fire station for Coeymans Hollow Volunteer Fire Department. The new station replaced the original station, a post and beam barn that was converted into a 2-story, 2-bay station with a 1-story, 2-bay addition completed in 1960.
The first floor includes 5 apparatus bays, work room, kitchenette, bathroom, break room and space for fire gear and equipment. There is a mid-level for storage and a second floor consisting of a training room, meeting/recreation room, kitchen, separate bathrooms, conference room and additional storage. These areas are accessed by a new elevator.
There are also two decontamination showers, HVAC system for apparatus area, smoke and carbon monoxide detection system and sprinkler system. A groundbreaking ceremony was held on Sunday, March 29, 2015. Construction was completed October 30, 2015.
