Christ Our Light
Sano-Rubin was selected as the Construction Manager for the 13,000 sf renovation and reconfiguration of the worship space. The renovations included new porcelain floor tile throughout, new alter “in the round”, new oak radial pews with upholstered seats, backs and kneelers, linear metal ceiling with decorative wood finish, new bathrooms, new glass partition wall separating the worship and gathering spaces, and installation of new liturgical furnishings including baptismal font, ambo and light ring. The existing shingle roof was also replaced and new dormers with clerestory windows and motorized blinds were added. The Church’s building systems were upgraded and include new lighting and lighting controls, sound system, HVAC system upgrades and minor plumbing work.
Once awarded the project, Sano-Rubin immediately began estimating, developing value engineering options, and formulating a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP). It was imperative to get the project out to bid quickly in order to meet the budget and schedule constraints. Through active management by our team, the project was completed on schedule with substantial savings generated through bidding and buyout of the work.
